Understanding Business Opportunities in World Bank-Financed Projects

The World Bank finances investment projects in low and middle-income economies to help end extreme poverty and boost shared prosperity on a livable planet.?Our portfolio covers over 1,500 investment projects across the globe, with an active total net commitment of $250 billion.??The governments that borrow from the World Bank require access to a broad range of suppliers that provide the civil works, goods, services, and specialized consulting services needed to achieve successful project outcomes. Procurement in World Bank-financed investment projects is carried out by World Bank borrowers with fiduciary oversight and technical support from the World Bank.

The World Bank Group, in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Commerce, is hosting a seminar for U.S. companies in the mid-Atlantic region who have a proven track record of working in emerging and developing economies to learn about business opportunities generated by Bank-financed projects. In addition, we will feature sessions on supplying directly to the World Bank Group for its 150 offices around the world, as well as World Bank Group instruments that support private sector investment.

in the event. We will let you know shortly if we have the space to confirm your attendance.
