This assignment will provide state-of-the-art international training on landslide risk management in the Hindu Kush Himalayas for capacity building and provide strategic advice to selected government entities from Bhutan; India; and Nepal; particularly the Uttarakhand Landslide Mitigation and Management Centre (ULMMC).This will be achieved by conducting a 5 day in-person training in the region in Uttarakhand; India; in close coordination with the Government of Uttarakhand and ULMMC; developing and making training materials available; and providing strategic advice to ULMMC on how to develop the institution into a regional center of excellence on landslide resilience including thought the development of a roadmap.For these purposes; the World Bank is seeking an experienced international service provider with cutting edge global knowledge on landslide risk assessment and prior working experience in the HKH region to conduct the training and provide strategic advice in the context of the Supporting Resilient Regional Development in the Hindu Kush Himalayas (P500582) advisory services and analytics activity.
